I am fundamentally a dreamer. I grew up exploring the woods and coasts of the Pacific Northwest, living out my science fiction and fantasy adventures. My art reflected as much in written words and painted pictures. Within two decades I would learn, travel, and work around the world discovering what I loved and what bigger dreams lay ahead.

My eventual return home brought me to the water once more, and the doors of the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding. There I began a lifelong journey, and am forever grateful for the daily gems of wisdom learned there. Boats are highly functional pieces of art, and a magnet for dreamers and artisans such as myself.

I hope you find joy in my work. While it’s produced by my own hand and eye, it’s the product of a life surrounded by extremely talented family and friends, without whom I would not be who I am today. All those who taught me to ‘measure twice, cut once’, and to always keep your tools sharp, because the devil is in the details.
